Miaaao. . . .  I'm Lilo, the most talkative of the whole group. I love to give a special purr whenever something makes me happy or if something bothers me! I live on the first floor in Via Orsenigo with Foffi and Nina, my daughter. I was born on March 18, 2005 in Venice (zodiac sign Pisces), but in my pedigree I have Austrian origins. I am a very patient cat and a very good mother. I give my kittens lots of attention, I take care of them with lots of passion and if the need arises I also take care of kittens of others. I have a very big motherly instincts. Even my two-legged family takes care of us with the best nutrition and constant care in our grooming. The short hair of the Chartreux cat doesn't need special attention, all it needs is a weekly brushing. During the mating season the dead hair should be removed with a glove or it should be brushed more frequently. The eyes and ears should be cleaned with a damp cloth. We only use shampoo if we have to take part in a show, in which case we do it a few days before so that the fur isn't too fluffy. On that occasion we have our nails clipped, as per regulations.

The diet of the Chartreux is based on meat or fish along with vegetables and rice. The prepackaged foods and dry foods are also fine. Even though we have a strong and robust build as an adult the Chartreux does not have a big appetite. You have to pay attention in giving them the right portions in relation to what they need and to their needs during the different stages of life.

The kittens are fed with a balanced meal (Kitten) and best for growth. The older cats that tend to get fat are given a lighter meal. Nutrition plays an important role in the life of a cat, a healthy and balanced portion will help keep the cat healthy and make him more resistant to getting sick and diseases. It's helpful to add periodically some additives (integrators), indispensable to keep up the immune system and keep the coat nice and healthy
